We had a great event last night at the Pilcrow with the pop up bar our students designed.

CAMRA pop up bar preview. We are pretty pleased with our students design and so where CAMRA. They are going to be taking it to a beer and cider festival they run in June in Manchester.

Last push tomorrow guys! Becca and I will pick up the bar in the morning and take it in a van (courtesy of CAMRA) to the Pilcrow so we will meet you all at the Pilcrow at 2pm. Bring everything you need for setting up the exhibition and bar and we will see you there for a pint!

To recap from today, great effort getting the bar finished - it looks ace! For tomorrow, meet at 10am in CH713 as agreed this afternoon and we can begin printing the artwork and decorating the bar. Please bring any paints, paintbrushes, spray paint, wire, pegs, clips etc. you have knocking around to jazz up the bar :) We need to get the painting done in the morning so that it will dry in time to head over to the Salutation at 4ish. See you tomorrow!

We have been deconstructing wooden palates today. We are building up quite a large pile of timber to be used to construct the bar starting tomorow.

DETAILS OF THE FIRST MEETING (20/03/17)

Meet at 10am in Geoffrey Manton Room 335 for a brief introduction to the event including a presentation from our collaborator at CAMRA.

Bring along your preferred tools for drawing and documenting for the walking our of Manchester's pubs. This could be anything from your sketchbook, pens and pencils, to watercolours and markers, or your camera/camcorder.

A tape measure/disto and camera will also be useful for the site analysis we will be doing at the end of the walking tour at the Pilcrow Pub.
