Day 7:
During the afternoon, whilst half of the team were constructing, the other half were developing InDesign software skills, with mentors aiding with portfolio layout. The stencil of England '66 player, Geoff Hurst was printed and cut to use as a stencil tomorrow when jigsawing the boards.

Day 7:
The first framing module worked out perfectly as planned and tested, with L joints meeting nicely..two more frame modules to go!

Day 7:
Spare material was used to make temporary benches whilst joints within the timber joists were cut to shape. Everyone got involved and showed good teamwork while breaking a sweat to get all the larger framing pieces cut

Day 7:
Construction commenced as the sun shined! The team began the day in the courtyard measuring and cutting out structural framework using handsaws, chisels, and sand paper. Concentration faces all around..

Day 2:
We rounded up the day with informal crits presented by each team.
It was nice to see three very different and exciting proposals from our first and second years!

As the design proposals developed, each team began to express initial thoughts on the assembly and structure of their installation ideas with the material palette available

Another site visit allowed each group to engage with the site parameters and further develop their ideas as we can see from these action shots!

The morning was spent developing ideas, which were communicated to the rest of Group 15. Other teams provided feedback for each idea presented to allow cross-team engagement.

Day 2:
Following on from Day 1's visit to the National Football Museum, each group composed a collage of elements of the exhibition that particularly interested them. These were then used to drive their design proposals for the installation.

Here is the plan of action for the Events fortnight. On our first day (20th March) we shall meet in studio at 10am.

Group 15 wants your old sports balls to help make a sports installation.
