The team have been very busy talking to people across the industry, with varied knowledge, expertise and backgrounds so that our jury panel can be as rich and diverse as possible.
The opportunity to put together a panel of judges from the industry has proven the benefits of networking with professionals and attending events to meet new people. As a team, we have been able to pull together some great names who will be joining us on the day in our secret city-centre location!

Be it through a blog,
Be it through a publication.
Ahead of the fortnight, look into fun and different ways to market the process and results of the Design Charrette, through the various media options above.

An important part of our EVENT involves working closely with the RIBA, specifically their regional team who are located at RIBA North, Mann Island, Liverpool.
The success of the 2018 RIBA Northern Soul Charrette relies on keeping in regular contact with the team, and making sure they are updated on all our plans for the day and letting them know if we need anything from them- and vice versa.
At the moment, we are liasing with the regional director team to gather interest for the charrette from the 13 northern schools of architecture that will be involved on the day.
Our team created a poster for the RIBA to publish to all schools as a way of gathering interest from students with the respective schools, with our EVENTS team being the organisers for pulling together a team representing the MSA- before the deadline of Friday 13th April.

In just over 6 weeks time we will be welcoming 13 northern schools of architecture to Manchester to take part in the 2018 RIBA Northern Soul Charrette!
We look forward to circulating our promotional poster around the schools so they can gather interest from students who wish to take part, of which there will be a maximum of 10 from each school- representing all 5 years of study.
The success of previous years of the Northern Soul Charrette has been the way in which the subject and location of the brief remains a surprise up until the day of the charrette itself. For this reason we have worked closely with the RIBA regional team over in Liverpool to put together a poster that gives very little away to students.

Manchester Town Hall is one of the many critical and special spaces within the city. It has just been closed for 7 years to undergo some important and necessary works to ensure the town hall is in it's best condition to continually provide a space for the city to use.
The Town hall is host to a variety of annual programmes; seeing thousands of visitors each year, visiting every single day!
We just had a great meeting with the Manchester City Council discussing this historical space, what it means to Manchester and the plans they have for the future.
