The final proposals are being judged by our esteemed jury.
All the designs are really impressive, exciting and have shown a variety of interesting approaches to answering the brief. It's going to be a tough decision to make!

As part of the charrette day, we organised tours for the students and staff. This was an exclusive opportunity for those participating and we hoped the tour of the building would generate some inspiration for their

We have been busy sending emails, making orders, and liaising with our partners to ensure a great day!

With our A Northern Soul posters dotted around Benzie building, we hope there is beginning to be a buzz over the exciting charrette!
The Manchester School of Architecture are looking for a team to represent at the upcoming 2018 RIBA A Northern Soul Charrette.

We're looking for a team of 10 students from across all years of the MSA to be part of our exciting plans for the day - Friday 20th April, with a surprise venue and brief to be revealed!

You'll be joining students from 12 other Northern schools of architecture for an exciting and rewarding day of team building, design and networking.

The Northern Soul EVENTS programme will be split into 4 areas which will cover the elements of:
- Physical curation
- Digital curation
- Marketing
- Digital documentation

We have split the programme into these groups to ensure each student gets an opportunity to experiment with new skills and build on existing strengths.

If there is any group which you would particularly prefer, please send an email to northernsoulcharrette@gmail.com and we will consider it when we allocate the groups!

Manchester Town Hall is one of the many critical and special spaces within the city. It has just been closed for 7 years to undergo some important and necessary works to ensure the town hall is in it's best condition to continually provide a space for the city to use.

The Town hall is host to a variety of annual programmes; seeing thousands of visitors each year, visiting every single day!

We just had a great meeting with the Manchester City Council discussing this historical space, what it means to Manchester and the plans they have for the future.
