*Meeting Notes*
Today's meeting notes are essential when considering the issues arising around the ca[re] sector.

Going forward please consider the 'issues' and 'focus' highlighted by Pozzoni Architects, to get the most out of your proposal.

Don't forget we are meeting at 10:30 at the Benzie cafe in MSA

Hey guys! It was lovely meeting you all today! These are the dimensions of the partition (in mm). The model will be made, as mentioned this morning, in 1:100 scale. If you want to download the dwg file its in our facebook group.

Today we have spent some time starting to collate the work for the final exhibition. Discussions revolved around choosing key images from each MSAp portfolio in order to ensure that everyone's work gets displayed! This project focused on co-housing, feeding into the research work done within Phase.

OH OKAY WORKSHOP//
Some images from our visit to the OH OK workshop this afternoon. The workshop will be used by the winning partition designers who will then be able to create their partition at a larger scale using clay. Along with one of the fifth years you will also get the opportunity to work with and get tips from one of the OH OK members who is a highly skilled ceramicist and potter. This is a great opportunity to develop your model making skills!

#INSIGHT

A little impression from our site visit. It was interesting to see how many different worlds clash around PARADISE WORKS and the site in front of it.

USEFUL SOURCE OF INFORMATION//
Don't forget to take advantage of Kevin's extensive knowledge of the Civic Quarter area. As he mentioned today, he has previously worked on each of the square's that you will be visiting on tomorrows tour. Therefore, the information he has already gathered on the history and the character of the areas will be a great help to you when coming up with your own designs for the partitions.

HEALTH & SAFETY//
As you know from today's talk, the Town Hall has a very precise health and safety strategy which we must all follow during the Events programme. We know there was a lot to take in today, so here's a reminder of a few main points to bare in mind while working within the Town Hall throughout the two week:

- You must sign in and out everyday at the main reception where you will be given your visitor lanyards which should be worn at all times while inside the building.
- The building is a live site and therefore it is important to stick to the areas you are permitted to use and not to wonder off into restricted parts of the building.
- It is important to be respectful to those working within the building, such as the coroner, who requires noise levels to remain at a minimum around the areas they are situated in (rooms 310 & 311 near the reception desk).
- If you would like to smoke the Town Hall requests that you do this away from the perimeter of the building, preferably in Albert Square.

If we all stick to these requests we can ensure that everyone can enjoy their time working within the Town Hall with minimum risk to themselves and the other group members!

They aim to create a sustainable urban model for artist-led activity in the growing arts ecology across the Salford & Manchester border.

It was great to understand the range of work created by the different artists and also how they have created a collective.

Hi guys, I'm Pranav Radhakrishnan, doing my 5th year in MSA. I'm currently in CPU atelier. I did my undergrad in India and worked there for a year after my course. I have worked in about 5 architectural firms with projects ranging from small scale villas and interior designs to large scale projects.

What I like the most about architecture is bringing the most imaginative designs come to life by making it practical and feasible. Through my years of practice I have seen how as architects we create and execute. Apart from architecture well I like to travel and as lame as it may sound, watch a lot of movies.

Hoping to have a great time with you guys! And also to see the great stuff you are going to create!
Posted 17 Apr 2018 22:48
Hi everyone! Name's Muhammad Faris; call me Faris. I am a 5th Year Architecture Student in the Atelier MSAP.

I studied my undergraduate here in the Manchester School of Art between 2013-2016. I worked in an architectural firm back in Malaysia for a year before coming back here to continue my Masters degree.

In terms of my interest, conceptual drawings are my favorite past time but I also enjoy anything that has any fantasy connotation to it. I rarely made physical models but I have started to enjoy making them in the past few months.

I am looking forward to get to know everyone soon!

Safety is paramount when the group travel for the overnight stay to the Lake District. As part of our risk assessment procedure, each team member will fill out a safety form to inform the MArch leaders of any urgent medical problems that we should be aware of and the emergency number of each member in the rare case that we cannot find someone on the trip.
