The cards need to be endurable and rigid, so they can be used multiple times throughout the entire community engagement event. David and Lada, our undergraduate students, were checking paper thickness and finishing, selecting the most suitable one.

Established in 1988, the Society has been supporting Manchester's Chinese Community and other ethnic minority groups through a range of projects, events and other means of support

One such project, which the Wai Yin community Centre and our Events group are aiming to raise awareness for, is potential emergency living spaces, which could enable the community centre to house people who have been made homeless and without awareness to the means available to them, where by this temporary accommodation could be used to house vulnerable people overnight; in addition to their other means of support.
Of such, are providing support and advice in seeking the adequate financial aid, advice and helping find communities to become integrated within.

These spaces could enable to the community centre an additional stepping stones to getting these people of the streets and back into a safer environment, more efficiently.

DAY 4// PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We are designing an ‘extendable box table’ which is very durable thanks to its compressed design it is not an issue to manoeuvre around as there are discreet locking wheels built into the base of the legs and a gas mechanism helping to lift and lower the unit. Our table is able to serve a couple of people at the same time while it can also be used by individuals. The Extendable Box Table is designed to suit any space. Tables are adjustable so they can meet the user needs. Additionally, it has a secure piston system in place which allows it to hold this weight. Our product can also be used as laptop desk, drawing board (thanks to its lift-up ratchet), group activities purposes, storage for any tools or belongings etc.
