Living wall is finished on time and looks better than expected. We experienced a few setbacks along the way in terms of planting, painting and fixing but the final result is more than pleasing.

Day three: 27th March
Today Y1 and Y2 students came up with some ideas about the back of the seating installation using the three main colours of our collaborator HATCH. These were then presented and discussed with the group. The students were also split into two main teams - construction and graphics & marketing team which will be focusing on specific tasks for the rest of the project.

MArch students met on site with Bruntwood representatives twice last week to discuss final layout for the seating installation and its location within Hatch. The project manager and the quantity surveyor expressed concerns about the height of the seating installation which we intend to address by minor tweaks in the design. The possibility of neon signage and painting was also brought up. After the meetings, MArch students finalised the cost plan together with an updated design proposal and sent it for approval to the collaborators.

The pop up market underneath the Mancunian Way on Oxford Road HATCH needs our help! As they are growing, we are going to create a bespoke seating/installation to meet their requirements.

A live project with excellent networking opportunities.
